Assist with dining room and meal service as required Report any changes, concerns, and observations Maintain records required regarding resident care, medication management, changes to care and support needs, and resident refusals for established routines Assist with transfers to and from hospital Discuss changes in resident support requirements with Program Manager or designate. Facilitate the transition for new residents to the program, helping them to learn about their new housing environment, the services and resources available Interact with residents in a manner that respects their individual rights and dignity, ensuring privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENRS Care Aide/Community Health Worker certificate Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Knowledge of relevant healthcare laws and regulations Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Records Check Ability to successfully complete reference check Ability to provide a record of work history Experience in the areas of Community Living and Licensed Care is preferred Good written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Current Emergency First Aid Certificate (please refer to the Certificates accepted in B.C. - WorkSafeBC). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements outlined below are non-specific to the position, as such, there may be additional tasks required.
