The Brant Mental Health Solutions and Pathways To Hope team is seeking an Instructor Therapist (ABA therapist) to join our new location (Shoreline Wellness Centre) in Kincardine this winter!
The Brant Mental Health Solutions and Pathways To Hope Team are a group of autism and mental healthcare professionals with a mission to provide comprehensive client care to people of all ages, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and responding to the changing needs of the community. As an Instructor Therapist (ABA therapist) with us, you should have a passion for working with children with a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of ASD and will be able to communicate with their parents/caregivers effectively.
The successful candidate will work one-to-one and in small groups with children and youth with autism.

EDUCATION / SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis obtained by completion of the Autism and Behavioural Sciences certificate or equivalent.
• Evidence of professional liability insurance
• Experience working with children with autism
• Vulnerable Sector Screen

• Delivering Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based services both in-person and virtually, with a focus on in person services.
• Collaborating with members of our team (including, Registered Behaviour Analysts, Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Psychologists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists etc to deliver comprehensive care and service coordination.
• Collaborating with partner organizations as appropriate to address client goals and promote smooth transitions of care.
• Maintaining complete and accurate electronic medical records through our software “Jane.”
• Actively participating in program planning, quality improvement initiatives and meetings as required
• Communicating effectively with the client’s parents, caregivers, education team etc as needed, and making sure everyone is aware of the care plan set out for the client.
