The Patient Arrival Specialist supports front-end operations by assisting with patient check-in, providing exceptional service, and addressing patient needs while upholding Emory Healthcare’s customer service standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Experience & Customer Service Greet patients, guests, and employees entering the facility with a warm welcome and appropriate salutation. Deliver exceptional service in alignment with the Emory Healthcare customer service model to create a positive and supportive environment. Conduct proactive rounding in waiting areas to ensure patient comfort and address immediate needs. Patient Check-In & Administrative Support Assist patients with the check-in process, including navigating online applications and troubleshooting technical issues. Confirm and update patient demographics, insurance information, and registrations. Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and collect copayments as needed. Communication & Service Recovery Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to address concerns and resolve issues promptly. Escalate service concerns to leadership when appropriate to ensure timely resolution. Environment & Operational Support Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in entrances, waiting rooms, and storage areas. Restock supplies and ensure areas remain orderly and sanitized. Operational Flexibility Float or travel to other departments or locations as needed to support operational needs.
