Serves as a department resource for reviewing and improving instrument care and handling processes. Leads departmental efforts for maintenance and updates to the instrument tracking system when assigned. Supports regulatory readiness by ensuring the availability and maintenance of required sterilization assurance materials and supplies. Assists in the development and maintenance of sterilization policies and procedures. Participates in the evaluation of products, supplies, and equipment related to instrument trays for designated service lines. Coordinates site-specific semiannual tray reviews with service line leaders and physicians in the operating room. Demonstrates strong knowledge of sterile technique principles and infection control practices. Maintains and supports a sterile environment through appropriate procedures. Performs other related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist or Sterile Processing Technician certification required. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or Sterile Processing Technician.
