We are seeking a Deputy Manager/Room leader for the baby room. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 qualification in a UK recognised early years qualification as well as senior experience in a nursery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations within the nursery and cover the office in the absence of manager.
• Supervise and train new staff members ensuring high quality of education is maintained within the nursery.
• Support all team members to ensure efficient running of the nursery and ensure that safeguarding is understood and is given par amount importance. Work as a DSL in the nursery.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adhere to the health and safety of all children in our care across all rooms.
• Help manager to plan and execute parent events and day to day nursery needs including recruitment and staff rotas.
• Address parent inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Support the development of menus termly and assist the kitchen chef when required.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management.

Skills

• Proven experience in leadership and management is essential.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, ofsted inspections and day to day running of the nursery.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
• Experience working in a kitchen if needed.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
