We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, ensuring that our deli section runs smoothly while providing exceptional service to our customers. This role involves food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen or deli environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Experience in upselling or promoting products is an advantage.

  Shifts are between the hours of 06:00 to 21:30 (8 hour shifts) and must be flexible across 7 day week.
  Excellent rates of pay and benefits.
  Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
  Pay: £12.50-£17.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

• Prepare and pack a variety of deli products including meats, cheeses, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, ribs, sliced meats and sandwiches.
• Assemble pizza boxes, prepare take and bake pizzas and display and rotate stock on shop floor.
• Serve customers with a friendly and positive attitude, ensuring their needs are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the deli area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and helping with restocking as needed.
• Use basic math skills for weighing products and processing transactions accurately.
• Upsell additional items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods.
• Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food products.
