Responsibilities: In the position Swing Class 3 Driver your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Operate a Roll-Off truck, Front-End truck, and residential equipment safely. Ensure customers are serviced as per their contractual requirements and schedules. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations through proven results. Maintain your vehicle in a tidy, safe condition and perform daily cleaning of the vehicle's blade. Competencies & Qualifications: Have excellent knowledge of and be familiar with the roads in Halifax, Dartmouth, and surrounding areas. Hold a Class 3 Driver’s Licence, maintain a clean Driver's Abstract and have had no preventable accidents in the past year. Work independently with minimal supervision. Be flexible with your work schedule as start and end times may vary. Statutory holidays are required at times. Exhibit effective written and verbal communication. Have excellent attendance and performance records, as well as team-building, communication, and organizational skills. Preference is given to candidates already experienced on either Roll-Off or Front-End trucks, due to the complexity of this role.
