About the Role An opportunity currently exists for a Grade 2 Social Worker to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This position is located within the Department of Addiction Medicine to provide drug and alcohol counselling to St Vincent’s patients experiencing issues with AOD. To fulfil this role, it is essential that you have a number of years of experience in working with people in the drug and alcohol space. The successful candidate will have highly developed skills in assessment, counselling, facilitation of groups and the provision of secondary consultation to other social workers in the Social Work Department around AOD. Previous experience in an inpatient hospital setting will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will contribute to positive outcomes for patients via the provision of high-quality social work service to patients using proficient clinical skills, effective communication and collaboration. Supervision of a Grade 1 social worker and/or social work student may be required. The successful candidate will be working in a supportive social work environment and receive regular supervision and professional development. Classifications for this position will range from SC21 - SC24 ($90,235.60 - $103,724.40) per annum, pro rata for part time.
