JOB SUMMARY

We are looking to recruit a passionate Coffee Shop Assistant/Barista and Mixologist to join our new store opening in Nottingham city centre. K-TWO serves a range of quality coffee, tea and chocolate based drinks along with a full range of draught beers, ciders, wine and cocktails. We are also aiming to expand our food offering in the near future. The ideal candidate would have prior experience of working in either a cocktail bar, or a coffee shop, and would be able to work flexibly across daytime openings Monday-Saturday. Experience of basic food preparation, hygiene and service would be advantageous too.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous barista or mixology experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided but it would be highly advantageous to have an understanding of one or both of these areas.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food hygiene and food service is highly desirable.
• Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Excellent time management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent personal hygiene.
  Pay: £10.50-£12.21 per hour

Experience:

• Barista: 1 year (preferred)
• Mixology: 1 year (preferred)
• Food service: 1 year (preferred)

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, draught beers and ciders, and specialty cocktails.
• Learn the specification of all drinks and be able to prepare them with ease.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Engage with customers to take orders accurately and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring basic math skills are applied for accurate change.
• Use the card machine and till system accurately.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders effectively.
