We are looking as of now for our office in Berlin Hennigsdorf an Antibody Development and Immunoassay Specialist in Research & Development (m/f/d)
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist who has strong experience in antibody development and immunoassay knowledge at the earliest opportunity. Expertise in therapeutic antibody discovery, candidate screening, antibody engineering and stable cell line development is desired.
The successful candidate will be involved in research and development projects in various ranges in cross-thematic areas. The candidate will contribute full-time to existing and new projects ranging from individual antibody development up to complete immunoassay development and manufacturing approaches. Experiments and discussions will be enclosed in a collaboration with the Research and Operations teams at InVivo facilities in Hennigsdorf and Berlin-Kreuzberg. We expect to establish antigen design and antibody development workflows for internal development projects and on client’s order. Methods reach from classical hybridoma development to state-of-the-art recombinant antibody development and even antibody discovery for diagnostic and optionally therapeutic application. The successful candidate is expected to initiate, implement, coordinate and finish projects excellently and will report to the Head of Research & Development.

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten:

• Develop innovative processes for antibody development, screening and optionally antibody discovery from antigen design to candidate screening
• Scientific research and experimental setup of immunoassays to known and novel targets in current industry standards, including verification and validation
• Lead a small and efficient laboratory team and manage internal and external projects in antibody and immunoassay development
• Develop strategies to ensure manufacturability assessment of antibodies and immunoassays leading to a certified product in a regulated environment
• Assign projects as directed by the management team and align these to marketing and operational manufacturing requirements
• Support business development activities and technical support by providing technical advice to manufacturing, quality control, sales team or to the customers directly
• Organize data and communicate results in internal and external scientific and consortium meetings
• Participate and present at team meetings and effectively communicate information to supervisor, appropriate groups and staff
• Take care of complying with rules of work safety, health, hygiene, environmental protection and accident prevention

Qualifikationen:

• Master degree in Molecular or Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related discipline with relevant years of experience in biotechnology, IVD industry or pharma
• Several years of experience in scientific work (publications, project applications)
• Strong -method independent- experience in antibody development, basic knowledge in antibody discovery
• Single cell sequencing and NGS experience is considered a plus
• Possess knowledge in immunoassay development or manufacturing under GLP or ISO
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Very good written/oral German and English communication skills required
• Laboratory work share at peaks up to 50%
• Availability to travel is required occasionally
