DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Greet all visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner. * Conduct wellness checks with all employees, contractors, and visitors according to company procedures. * Monitor, enforce, and regularly update workplace safety policies and procedures to maintain a high level of health and safety performance. * Identify and report health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace. * Compile and distribute information/data pertaining to reported incidents; accurately prepare other applicable correspondence, documents, and reports as needed. * Compile man-hours and number of people on-site in compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies. * Implement the claims management process. * Assist the Health & Safety Coordinator as required. * Respond to emergencies and administer competent first aid. * Implementation of defined health standards at mine sites, including drug and alcohol programs. * Participate in drug and alcohol program as a collector. * Ensure site security as mandated by country, provincial, state, and/or local regulatory codes, including but not limited to controlling access and egress to properties by employees, contractors, and others; monitoring all security breaches. * Willing to obtain a mine rescue certificate and participate in mine rescue activities. * Other duties and tasks as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum three years' experience in first aid experience, with OFA Level 3 Certification. * Valid OFA Level 3 Certification  * Valid Driver's License  * Previous experience in the mining industry or an industrial setting is an asset. * Valid BC Mine Rescue Certificate is also considered an asset. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS * Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation. * Must be able to communicate in English. * Proven safety and attendance record. * Ability to remain calm and work effectively in emergent, high-stress situations. * Above average computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets and databases. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Committed to high standards in health and safety performance. * Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, good judgment, and discretion, with a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality. * Self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to manage tasks independently. * Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment. * Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.
