Dumas is a safety leading, full-service underground mining contractor providing services to clients throughout the Americas. We specialize in mine construction, mine development, production mining, mine services and engineering.

DAY-TO-DAY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for daily operations of planning and development of all projects in the Canadian Region through effective leadership of your teams
  • Involved in the set-up of manpower, equipment, administration and budget of projects. Responsible to provide clients with quotes, schedules, cash flow and technical proposals
  • Review mining development proposals and provide advice on procedures, budgets and job specific requirements
  • Participate in tenders, estimates, budgeting and quotes
  • Responsible for direct reports including Area Managers and Site Superintendents
  • Interface with clients and senior management to help inspire and promote the best operational practices for our employees.
  • Lead our Canadian projects through our journey to Zero Harm by acting as a subject matter expert

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Degree in relevant Engineering/Business Administration field from a recognized institution
  • At least 10-15 years specific experience in the mining industry
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario would be considered an asset (Project Management Professional) PMI designation, or similar, will accelerate your impact and value to the growth of the business.
  • You have excellent command of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.
  • Your integrity and reputation stands firm with your proven track record to reduce safety risk and ensure the organization stays the course on key safety service offerings.
  • Achieving production and business goals, will ultimately allow you and the management team to build and deepen relationships of trust with existing and potential clients.
  • You have demonstrated a high level of cultural awareness throughout your career as a underground mining professional
  • You can sell a unique and innovative business excellence/continuous improvement approach to the management team and the production crews in the field.
  • You can leverage your impressive network of mining executives, managers and directors, suppliers and partners to obtain high-level business intelligence.
