This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
Under general supervision of the Production Support Team Information Technology Supervisor I, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) will schedule and facilitate meetings related to IT projects and coordinate project activities with other personnel, vendors, or departments. The ITA must be able to comprehend technical documents to interpret specifications, system implementations, capabilities, interdependencies, and compatibilities. While communicating with all levels of staff, the ITA provides input to ensure accuracy and completeness for the technical documentation required to develop new and existing production Job Control Language (JCL). The ITA will identify complex IT related problems in the production environment and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. The ITA must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems. The ITA will formulate comprehensive and accurate system documentation for the production environment. The ITA will serve as a technical liaison and must be knowledgeable of and apply current and evolving Information Technology concepts and principles involving mainframe and computer software such as: JCL, CLIST, REXX, ESP, SAS, and SFT.

Working Conditions
Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) A SECURITY CLEARANCE will be required. Fingerprint/criminal record clearance is required before hire.
