This vital department is responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. About Sterile Processing • Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment. • Assemble instrument trays and ensure proper functioning of equipment. • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory. • Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies. • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures related to infection control and safety. Shift Details: • Regular shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM • Orientation Training schedule: Daylight hours from 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Orientation Period Timeframe: • Typically lasts 4 months. • Duration may vary depending on individual progression in the position. • Some employees may require extended orientation, while others may transition sooner.
