About North Western Program Alliance   North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of five Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals. Since 2017, the Victorian Government has entrusted North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) and our Alliance partners to remove dangerous and congested level crossings, deliver new rail stations and infrastructure, and create more community open spaces.     Our Alliance currently has three projects in delivery and two in development phase, along with the successful delivery of ten level crossing removal projects (17LX) and several premium stations.  We’re proud to make a real difference to the lives of people on our program of works and in the communities in which we operate. Our values are Care, Excellence, Creativity and Empowerment.    We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a Senior Sustainability Advisor to join the Alliance.  About the Role   As the NWPA Senior Sustainability Advisor or Sustainability Advisor, your main responsibilities will be to lead or support a high performing team of   sustainability professionals from all Alliance partners, and drive a culture of contemporary thinking across the Project to help achieve the   environmental, social, financial and governance goals of our customers and communities.To be successful in this key role, we are looking for;   •    Lead or support the Sustainability Contract Deliverables for the Project. •    Interface with Client  and other Alliance Leads to drive sustainability outcomes and innovations across the program of works, including chairing client meetings and presenting at knowledge sharing forums. •    Collaborate, guide and positively challenge other Project teams to develop innovative sustainability solutions in Development, Delivery and Completions phase. •    Drive NWPA’s approach to net zero in line with VIDA’s Decarbonisation Strategy. •    Support delivery of the project specific sustainability goals and ensure that the actions, procedures and tools are in place to provide surety of successful project delivery, in line with project sustainability management plan and sustainability contractual obligations.  •    Support a culture of contemporary thinking across the Project to help achieve the environmental, social, financial and governance goals of our      customers and communities   •    Track and report performance against sustainability targets and objectives for Contract and Completion Requirements.  •    Keep up to date with ISC, GBCA and new legislation in relation to sustainability. •    Attend and drive sustainable outcomes during design and construction and other functional led meetings.  •    Establish methods to increase the awareness of sustainability issues across the project. •    Perform all duties in accordance with LXRP Sustainability Management Plan, and NWPA Sustainability Management System (SMS), including objectives, targets, training, risk, opportunity, design, procurement, construction, completion, handover, communication, stakeholder management, monitoring, reporting, auditing, reviewing, continuous improvement and innovation.  •    Where relevant, preparation of the Infrastructure Sustainability As Built submission in accordance with the Infrastructure Sustainability Rating Scheme Technical Manual Design and As Built, Version 1.2. •    Analyse the Design Non-Owner Participant (DNOP) and Construction Non-Owner Participant (CNOP) Management Systems in compliance with project sustainability requirements, and collaborate for  continuous improvement towards compliance. •    Report up to Alliance Management Team (AMT) and Alliance Leadership Team (ALT) on sustainability strategy, performance and outcomes. •    Ensure the necessary support (including resources of suitable levels of competence) is available for the effective implementation of the Projects’ sustainability requirements, including but not limited to: Sustainability budget management, Sustainability Audits, Sustainability Performance Reviews, Climate Risk and Adaptation, Resource Modelling Reviews, implementation of project sustainability initiatives. •    Deliver and contribute to the sustainability training program for relevant project personnel and contractors, and support sustainability management tools training. •    Mentoring and development of junior team members such as advisors, graduates, coordinators, interns and cadets.
