Position Summary This summer internship offers a flexible, creative opportunity for a student interested in social media marketing, content strategy, and communications in the nonprofit sector. Reporting to the Brand & Marketing Communications Manager, the intern will assist in developing and executing FamilyAid’s social media presence, creating content for multiple platforms, and building a pipeline of materials for future months. The role may also expand to include curating family success stories by engaging with case managers to gather impactful narratives. Duties and Responsibilities Social Media Management: Assist with managing FamilyAid’s social media platforms, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to community interactions as directed Content Creation: Develop creative, mission-aligned content for social media, newsletters, and other communications channels Content Strategy: Participate in training on FamilyAid’s brand and social content strategy; assist in preparing a content calendar and materials for future months Success Story Curation: Engage with case managers and program staff to gather and write compelling family success stories for use in donor communications and public-facing materials News Monitoring & PR Support: Monitor relevant news and sector developments; support media relations activities as needed Collaboration: Coordinate with 2Gen, Development, and programming staff on shared communications needs Requirements Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate educational program Highly desired: Fluency in another language (ideally Spanish or Haitian Creole) Experience in social media, marketing/communications Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
