Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist PsychologistLong Bay Correctional Complex   Lead Change in Rehabilitation – Advance Your Psychology Career in a Senior Clinical Role   Location: Long Bay Correctional Complex Employment type: Temporary and ongoing talent pool Salary: Senior Psychologist - $119, 972 to $130,314 pa Senior Specialist Psychologist - $140,655 - $148,932 pa Plus, Environmental Allowance, superannuation and annual leave loading   Your role As a Senior Psychologist, you will: Lead and supervise a team of Psychologists in delivering high-quality services to offenders Provide expert clinical advice on complex and high-risk cases, including violent and sexual offenders Deliver direct psychological interventions and manage complex case presentations Provide regular individual and group supervision to psychologists and interns Oversee the professional development and training of your team Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in OIMS and relevant systems Liaise with stakeholders to ensure coordinated psychological service delivery   If applying as a Senior Specialist Psychologist, you will also: Manage the most complex cases and provide high-level consultation across the Centre Drive research and service improvement initiatives Contribute to clinical governance and innovation in psychological practice   Long Bay ComplexOn Long Bay complex there are two correctional centre facilities Long Bay Hospital (LBH) and the Metropolitan special programs centre (MSPC).   Long Bay Hospital is a maximum-security facility for medical and psychiatric cases, as well as remanded inmates. It provides mental health, medical observation, post-operative care, haemodialysis, as well as aged, rehabilitative, and palliative care to patients. Some patients are receiving involuntary treatment under the Mental Health Act (2007).   What you’ll do   Working within a small team to provide psychological assessment and intervention. Working closely with Justice Health and attending Psychiatry review meetings about complex mental health patients. Working in a broader multidisciplinary team with SAPOs, Case Management, and Custodial Corrections. Formulating behavioural management plans to assist in the care and management of complex clients. Delivering mental health or behavioural change group programs. Working in the Special Purpose Centre which houses inmates who have been de-identified by the government due to participation in Witness Protection or other reasons.    Metropolitan Special Programs Centre (MSPC) accommodates offenders of all classification.
