Key Responsibilities: Project Assessment: Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to develop accurate and detailed estimates for fire alarm and security systems. Cost Estimation: Calculate material, labor, overhead, and other costs associated with projects. Utilize industry software and estimating tools to prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns. Bidding Process: Prepare and submit bids in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with client requirements and timelines. Collaborate with project managers to determine the scope of work and required resources. Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing on materials and services. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors as needed. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with projects and factor those into estimates and bids. Propose solutions to mitigate risks and enhance project success. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, submissions, and correspondence related to bidding and project management. Ensure all documentation is complete for audits and reviews.
