Job Description AECOM Buildings + Places, the company's architectural business unit, it seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be based out of the Halifax, Nova Scotia-area. This individual will work on Marine facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers. Major Responsibilities: Provides specialized technical input to Structural studies and design of Marine facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers As a senior technical resource, the job incumbent may serve as technical advisor for team Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepares technical specification sections. Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, no less than: A University Degree in Structural Engineering + six (6) years of relevant experience in the Structural design of buildings, facilities and infrastructure Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
