We are committed to excellence in education and research in public health and primary care. Further information about the School is available at http://www.sphpc.cuhk.edu.hk. The School is now inviting applications for Research Assistant Professorship. The candidate will work on a wide range of research topics from traditional epidemiological studies to artificial intelligence for healthcare big data, including electronic health records, data from open-source platforms, and digital records from portable devices. We encourage multidisciplinary research and collaboration across academic departments, so the candidate should be open-minded for any challenge from interdisciplinary research. Applicants should have: (i) a relevant PhD in Public Health, Health Science, Statistics, or other relevant disciplines; (ii) a strong commitment to excellence in research; (iii) outstanding accomplishments and research potential; and (iv) an excellent command of English and a good command of Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese). Research emphasis will be on the following research areas: - Data-driven analytics to support healthcare decisions; - Health systems models for epidemiological research; - Trend analysis for historical disease records; - Evidence-based medicine with online resources for disease management. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.
