Overview:
Element Digital Engineering requires a versatile and innovative Systems Engineer to help support various projects covering several different industries (aero, defence, energy, space). Candidates will be required to effectively translate the client’s needs and requirements, whilst working alongside the wider team to generate concepts and to develop and verify deliverable solutions

Responsibilities:

• Development and improvement of requirement specifications with cross-functional teams
• Requirements definition at system, sub-system, and equipment levels
• Requirements management and maintain traceability
• Development of solutions using techniques such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and trade studies
• Supporting the development of a plan and associated activities
• Development of systems engineering activities (e.g., project plans, analysis, reports, etc)
• Collaboration with and reporting to Customer representatives; and the tailoring and application of engineering initiatives, best practices, and quality processes; and contributing to Continuous Improvement
• Management of system and sub-system level requirements and interface definition, including management of design baselines
• System architecture definition
• Management and resolution of problems/queries that arise from development and qualification activity
• Understand the impact of proposed changes current designs and perform studies to eliminate risks and ensure the continued viability
• Coordinate/support in design reviews
• Generation and review of technical documentation to support verification activity
• System level compliance evidence compilation
• System certification and generation of system verification documentation, including design verification Plans and requirement verification modules
• Systems support to other parallel programmes as required

Skills / Qualifications:

• Degree level (or equivalent) qualification in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an Engineering related field (Preferred, not Essential)

• Experience of customer and wider stakeholder management

• • Experience in the usage of IBM DOORS or similar and/or MBSE tools
• Experience in systems integration (mechanical/electrical/software) would be beneficial
• Hands-on experience across the system design lifecycle, preferable within aerospace
