JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a qualified, experienced Electrical Panel Fitter & Wireperson to join our workshop team here at HEMCO Power & Control Systems Ltd. We are small company based in Eastleigh, and we design and build electrical control systems for a wide variety of process control, machine and manufacturing applications for a diverse range of industry sectors. We specialise in all levels of design and manufacture, from simple panel building to complete integrated systems, whether from scratch, or according to customer designs.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Ideally, candidates will have the following qualifications:
· Electrical / electronic apprenticeship
· NVQ level 2 or above attained in a similar role.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experienced and competent in electrical control panel work to a high standard:
· To assist in design, undertake layouts of assemblies, products etc.
· Mechanical assembly of those products (drilling, tapping, fixing etc.)
· Wiring of those assemblies to the required levels of quality, as well as complying to British and International standards such as BSEN60204-1, BS7671 & other relevant standards.
· Understanding & interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and cable schedules
· Feedback information, ideas, corrections etc. to the engineering team
· Suitably pack and assist in preparing equipment for dispatch etc.
· Assisting in maintaining required levels of stock (Cable, terminals, consumables etc.)
· Attending site to undertake site surveys, installation, commissioning activities etc.
· Basic testing and fault finding.
· Following inhouse quality assurance procedures to ISO9001:2015
PARTICULAR APTITUDE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Good attention to detail.
· Good hand and eye coordination.
· Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
· Capability of working to strict tolerances and deadlines.
· Manual dexterity.
