DESIRED COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS
· Five (5) years’ experience in mill operations, with a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role;
· Diploma or technical certification in mineral processing, metallurgy, or equivalent experience;
· In-depth knowledge of gold or mineral processing plant operations and equipment, strong knowledge of workplace and process safety requirements and procedures;
· A Nunavut WSCC Supervisory Level II qualification, or ability to obtain same; and
· Proficiency in operational management software, DCS, and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Manage daily operations across mill and plant areas, including Crushing, Grinding, Gravity Concentration, Cyanide Leaching, Reagents Circuit, and Tailings Management;
· Supervise, train, and mentor mill operators and technicians, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on safety, high performance, and continuous improvement;
· Monitor KPIs such as throughput, recovery rates, and ore grade, analyze plant data to enhance production quality and efficiency, and prepare detailed performance reports;
· Analyze plant data and adjust operations to enhance OEE and production quality;
· Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance activities, minimize downtime, and ensure continuous operations;
· Identify and implement process improvements, resolve operational issues, and optimize resources to increase throughput, reduce costs, and improve recovery rates;
· Oversee inventory levels for chemicals, consumables, and spare parts, ensuring availability to prevent delays while maintaining accurate operational records;
· Ensure the efficient use of resources, optimized schedules, proper documentation; Prepare reports on production performance, safety incidents, and operational issues;
· Uphold B2Gold Nunavut’s health, safety, and environmental policies, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct safety meetings, and enforce adherence to SOPs.
