Our client is looking for a collaborative and inquisitive Tech Lead, Engineering to be part of and contribute to our Software Engineering department. If you are forward-thinking and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with business and rating analysts to understand requirements related to the document publishing solution.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers (frontend + backend), fostering a collaborative

and high-performance work environment proficiently

• Oversee project delivery, to deliver new capability to the business
• Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
• Collaborate with partners and multi-functional teams collaboratively to ensure alignment

with business objectives

• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding and security standard
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and sound design solutions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and operation documentation
• Manage monthly development releases for business critical digital applications
• Maintain runbooks for support resources

What you will need to succeed:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or related field
• At least 10 years of outstanding software development experience
• Strong communication, leadership, coordination skills for stakeholder management
• Ability to provide estimates, troubleshoot production incidents, support releases
• Strong technical skill in any OO language, relational and NoSQL database
• Preferably Java (Spring Boot), Angular, Oracle, MongoDB
• Strong experience with Agile methodology
• Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities
• Leadership and team/project management experience
• Insurance industry experience will be a plus
