Summary: MedInformatix is a team dedicated to providing a medical software solution that facilitates healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive patient care. We understand that no two healthcare practices are alike and tailor solutions to fit the specific needs of our users. The Senior Software Engineer is dedicated in the architecture and development of cloud applications that will be seamlessly integrated with our core application. The Senior Software Engineer also provides mentorship using technical knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related area.
• Experience in the healthcare industry required

Strong personal computer literacy is required, with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and other appropriate software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, work processes, investigate problem areas, and follow the software development lifecycle
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
• Define software architectures by collaborating with technical leads to explore existing systems, determine areas of complexity, and identify potential risks to successful implementations
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
• Maintain existing code and functionality once released in production
• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
• Ensure code quality and maintainability
• Stay up to date with the latest changes in both the healthcare industry and the technological industry by participating, where possible, in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
• Apply strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using sound judgement for all assigned tasks
• Adhere to standard Agile development practices
• Ensure that all development efforts are code reviewed and aligned with company development best practices
• Support and develop software engineers by providing advice, mentorship, code reviews, and peer programming
