King Heights Academy is seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Teachers to join our growing and dynamic school community. This role provides an opportunity to inspire students, support their academic and personal growth, and be part of a collaborative educational setting.

Duties

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards
  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods
  • Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance
  • Use diverse instructional strategies to support different learning styles
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, grades, and student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and contribute to school initiatives
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development
  • Prepare and review instructional materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

Qualifications

  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or equivalent required
  • Experience teaching at the secondary school level is preferred
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
