About the role In this position, you will be responsible for the teaching delivery of RMIT UP’s Foundation Studies Psychology course. Duties include assessment, monitoring academic progress of students, contributing to the development of the Foundation Studies curriculum and providing an outstanding student experience. This course is designed to introduce Foundation STEM students to Psychology as a systematic study of people’s thoughts, feelings and behaviour with an emphasis on developing analytical and problem-solving skills in a range of situations. Key subject themes include: Understanding the structure and function of the brain and human nervous system analysing the impact of stress on the body. Consciousness, the purpose and nature of sleep, and the effects of sleep disruption on a person’s functioning. The concepts of mental health including phobia management approaches. Research, analytical and reporting methods related to the investigation of mental processes and psychological functioning.
