The Small Animal Veterinarian position operates within the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Camden (UVTHC) as a first opinion small animal veterinary hospital at the rural (Camden) campus. The rostered days would be between Wednesday to Friday if you want to work three (3)days or Wednesday and Thursday if you want to work two (2) days. In this position, you will: provide first opinion small animal services including medicine, surgery and anaesthesia within Camden/Wollondilly districts provide ‘hands-on’ clinical training to final year students for ‘Day One’ skills - this will include independent supervision of spey clinic and first opinion consults support undergraduate veterinarians and nursing staff in decision making and case management take part in informal and formal presentations of small animal related topics at the hospital participate actively in development of wide range of skills and dissemination of knowledge through attendance at journal club and hospital rounds.
