MAIN DUTIES:

• Often working within a state of the art -22*C Freezer coldstore
• Receiving, moving and checking and storing incoming goods in line with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards
• Checking and inspecting goods received ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type and quality
• Packaging and labelling products (where applicable) before dispatch
• Picking and Packing products
• Selecting space for storage and arranging for goods to be placed in the designated areas.
• Preparation of deliveries
• Loading and unloading of vans and lorries as required
• Maintaining and servicing Warehouse machines/Forklift Truck and equipment in line with individual competence and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Safe Operation of Forklift Truck
• Safe moving and organising of stock
• Ensuring warehouse is maintained in a clean and organised manner
• Storing stock away safely and in line with stock rotation requirements
• Monitoring of stock levels
• Wearing of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times as instructed
• Accurate completion of paperwork/input into company’s stock computer system as required
• Always observes business etiquette and confidentiality.
• To be aware of and to observe Company’s policies and procedures including Health and Safety.
• The job holder will attend training courses, Company meetings and other team events as required.
• The job holder will carry out such other reasonable tasks that may from time to time be allocated.
