WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO HAVE TO BECOME A CLASS 2 DRIVER?

• A full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 points.
• Previous relevant experience with curtain-sided vehicles and tail lifts
• Team player.
• Knowledge of route planning.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Previous delivery experience preferred but not essential
• Ability to drive up to a 26-ton vehicle and handling forklifts
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• A forklift license is preferable but not required
• A willingness to be flexible in working hours, this may include Saturday working including early starts, late finishes
• Good attendance record.
  Hours: 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL JOIN US ON A FULL TIME, PERMANENT BASIS AND WILL RECEIVE A SALARY STARTING AT £32,600 PER ANNUM DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE. EXPERIENCE IN LOGISTIC/TRANSPORT WOULD BE PREFERRED FOR THIS MULTI DROP DELIVER DRIVER ROLE.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COURIER/DRIVER?

• Collecting and delivering customers’ consignments (both parcels and pallets) safely, securely, punctually and in perfect condition.
• All paperwork completed daily with a high degree of accuracy.
• Vehicle loading and sorting parcels and pallets.
• A vehicle is provided and is to be kept clean and tidy, with daily checks. It is to be kept locked and secure when unattended and accidents and breakdowns reported immediately according to company procedures.
