JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an organised and motivated person to join our assembly and goods out team. The ideal candidate would be a good all round tradesperson with skills in using hand tools and finishing with a keen eye for detail and quality. You must be a team player and be prepared to be flexible within the workplace. You will be keen, motivated, proactive, and willing to accept a challenging environment. In an ever-changing role you must always have a can-do approach to your work.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Good level of spoken English
• Some previous experience in Furniture Prepping, finishing or furniture assembly/installations
• Physically able to carry out duties in a safe manner.
• Hard working, reliable and honest
• Own means of transport (we are in a rural area with little public transport)

  Hours: 40 hours per week plus overtime available. Note: we sometimes operate early morning or afternoon to evening shifts so the candidate needs to be prepared to work within the shifts when required.

  Salary: £13.00 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience plus annual bonus subject to achieving personal and Company targets
  Holiday: 20 days (25 days after first year) + Public holidays

Trimming, de-nibbing machined panels and fitting secondary components (locks, hinges, inserts etc)
Assembling and preparing case goods
Wrapping and packing completed goods
Reading and understanding orders and assembly drawings
Quality Control monitoring
To understand and be able to work to tolerances required for quality furniture items.
Finishing by hand and hand tools, using orbital sanders and sanding machines
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Adhering to health and safety at all times
