Our client, is an automation and controls provider for machine builders and companies looking to outsource their controls requirements. They are actively looking to hire a Control Panel Technician to join their growing team.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
· 2 years of Electro-Mechanical systems troubleshooting
· Experience working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment an asset
· Education in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology or equivalent
· Integrate electrical controls and systems
· Perform Electrical Wiring of machinery and control panels
· Individual will wire and Assemble components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches,
· Build and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear units.
· Assemble Switchgear units as per blueprints and instructions.
· Works from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals or verbal instructions.
· Able to use power tools
· Knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment
· Will use hand tools and power tools to perform assembly
· Analyze assembly blueprint and specifications manual, and plans machine building operations
· Verify conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
· Removes high spots, and smooths surfaces, using chisels, scrapers, files, and powered hand grinder.
