This position is responsible for the judicial schedule, scheduling over 200 court sessions per month, overseeing courtroom procedures, managing the jury program, implementing policies, procedures, judicial orders, the security and integrity of court records, etc. The Court Services Manager oversees the following work sections: Court Services, Records Management and Information Services, consisting of over 20 positions. The Court Services Division is the "heartbeat" of Municipal Court because its function is critical to the court process and adjudication of cases. The position interacts with attorneys, other City departments, law enforcement agency staff, and the public. JOB SUMMARY This position is located in the Court Case Support Division of the Municipal Court with the City of Oklahoma City and reports to the Assistant Court Administrator. The Court Services Manager is responsible for supervising clerical and administrative staff who process and maintain legal records and support judges during court proceedings. This role also implements departmental programs and policies, coordinates operational activities, and plans and manages major projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Supervising and directing the work of assigned staff. * Managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage of workload demands, court sessions, and judicial calendars. * Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of case records. * Conducting staff meetings to review assignments, workflows, and operational issues. * Developing and implementing divisional policies and procedures. * Developing training materials for newly hired court clerks. * Coordinating and delivering training for new employees in the preparation of legal forms and documents and courtroom procedures * Communicating with court officials in other jurisdictions regarding enforcement of court orders and the exchange of case information. * Managing and maintaining an active jury program. * Assisting in preparing and monitoring departmental/divisional budgets, goals, and objectives. * Developing specifications for equipment, materials, supplies, and contracted services. * Monitoring operational expenditures to ensure compliance with budget limits. * Implementing established productivity and process improvement measures. * Reviewing program performance for timeliness, procedural compliance, and budget adherence. * Preparing complex technical reports for submission to the department director, City officials, and state and federal agencies. * Communicating with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to exchange information related to court cases and procedures. * Performing other duties as assigned.  VETERANS PREFERENCE Honorably discharged veterans of the United States Active Duty Armed Forces, National Guard, and Reserve Forces who are not currently employed full-time by the City of Oklahoma City and who meet the qualifications for the position shall be given preference.
