Description Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking a Dining Services Worker. This is an entry level, part-time (approximately 20 hours/week) and includes some part-time benefits such as paid time off and 403b with company match. Hours are primarily Evenings from 4PM to 9PM with occasional need for hours from 11AM to 4PM on weekends. Perform routine food service tasks with minimal supervision to include: preparation of small quantities of fresh produce and related salad items and desserts; service and storage of foods; cleaning and sanitation of work areas, equipment, dishware; and wait staff duties to residents while in service areas such as café and Dogwood Dining Rooms. Performs routine food service tasks under direct supervision. Displays a cheerful, helpful, and courteous appearance. Assist with preparation of salads appetizers, desserts, and garnish. Operates the cash register and follows all cash handling procedures as assigned. Stocks beverage area as well as grab and go items. Assist other team members with job duties as needed or assigned. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation in dining service areas. Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required. Prior cashier/cash handling experience is preferred but not required. Requirements Previous customer service experience preferred (0-2 years). Ability and willingness to learn new skills. Ability to work well with all types of individuals.
