Description
This is a critical role for an experienced Solutions Architect with extensive experience of Microsoft Ecosystem, who will provide support to the programme and project teams by delivering architecture solution design, describing transitional states to senior stakeholders, both technical and non-technical. As well as project teams, you will work with business SME’s, development, platforms and infrastructure teams to provide clear frameworks for delivery of technical solutions. Additionally, you will have good knowledge of DevOps principles and be familiar with iterative approaches to architecture and development. You will be expected to manage consistency between solutions and ensure that architecture standards are adhered to. You will also develop solution design documentation to organisational architecture standards, with alignment to the architecture strategy, roadmaps and reference architectures as well as helping to govern against these directions. Ability to understand the impact of any solution they recommend on the wider technology estate, working with enterprise, business and data architects. Understand and articulate the client’s ecosystem and its inter-dependencies, ensuring quality and integrity of solutions. Know how to use requirements to research and investigate the market and understand the technology estate that exists today to find a solution. Design solutions to meet user and business needs and align with client’s strategies, policies, procedures and standards Guide projects in making the correct technology decisions, promoting reuse, sustainability and scalability to achieve value for money Translate technical concepts between systems engineering, delivery management and service management, as well as developing and documenting the proposed technical design for the integration and implementation of any solution Provide a consistent set of solution views, that communicate and describe the construction of the solution to all stakeholders, making the complex simple to understand Work with client stakeholders to support discovery and design work, blending technical and communication skills Lead architecture work within projects to embed the architectural design gates within the overall governance process ensuring reference information is published, updated and readily available Ability to communicate complex technology and data issues with clarity. Experience of building a network of strong interpersonal relationships to achieve shared objectives. The ability to listen to the needs of stakeholders (technology, data and business) and broker between them. A sound knowledge of architecture methodologies and frameworks and experience of their application e.g., TOGAF Experience of modern IT paradigms including event-based architecture design, containerisation and microservices.
