About the role

Smart-tech Enterprise Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Support and Test Engineer to join our Technology Services team. In this role you will provide technical support and testing services to our managed service clients across desktop, mobile, cloud, network and enterprise environments. You will investigate and resolve technical incidents, support structured testing and validation activities, assist with hardware and software deployments, and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of ICT service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Investigate, analyse, diagnose and resolve technical incidents and system performance issues across desktop, mobile, cloud, network and enterprise application environments
  • Support structured testing and validation activities, including functional testing, verification of system changes, workstation builds, Microsoft 365 service updates and basic infrastructure modifications
  • Configure, install and deploy hardware and software changes in accordance with organisational change-management and quality standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot performance, availability and security issues within network infrastructure (including Ubiquiti UniFi environments)
  • Test systems and configurations to identify functionality errors and faults, and document test results and findings
  • Assist with user onboarding and environment provisioning, including account setup, workstation configuration, access controls and security practices
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including configuration records, test artefacts, knowledge articles and operational procedures
  • Participate in the review of incident trends, perform preliminary analysis and provide findings to support root-cause identification and process improvement
  • Work with senior staff on escalated technical matters involving servers, networks, virtualisation platforms, cloud services and enterprise applications
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to users on application software and operational procedures

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Minimum 3 years' professional experience in ICT support and testing roles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking and enterprise systems
  • Experience with structured testing, documentation and change management processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Australian work rights required
