The role requires regular interfacing with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to secure alignment, obtain necessary approvals, and address stakeholder concerns. Effective communication and relationship management are essential for successful project outcomes. You will oversee design schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring all milestones are met within project constraints. This includes proactive management to address potential bottlenecks and optimize team productivity. Conducting design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance checks will be central to your responsibilities. These activities safeguard the integrity of the signaling design and minimize project risks. The position also involves mentoring junior engineers and supporting technical excellence within the team. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in railway signaling design, preferably within Canada. Proven experience leading signaling design on large-scale transit projects. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree is an asset. P.Eng. license in Ontario is preferred; candidates must be eligible to obtain licensure. Strong knowledge of Canadian railway signaling standards and practices.
