Description As a Handyman Specialist at ABC, you'll use your diverse skillset to tackle various residential maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring exceptional customer service and project completion within deadlines. Primary Responsibilities: Diagnose handyman problems using blueprints, diagrams, and your own expertise. Install, repair, and maintain a wide range of handyman projects. Inspect, troubleshoot, and conduct tests to identify the root cause of issues. Utilize various testing devices to pinpoint problems accurately. Plan the layout and installation of handyman equipment and fixtures to ensure functionality and aesthetics. Strictly adhere to all safety standards and regulations set forth by the State of Texas and ABC Home and Commercial Services. Complete assigned jobs efficiently and within designated timeframes. Prioritize safety by following established company protocols and maintaining safe work habits. Participate in company-sponsored continuing education classes to stay updated on the latest techniques and materials. Collaborate effectively with colleagues from various departments. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with customers and team members. Requirements Intermediate to Advanced Texturing Skills: Replicate multiple textures like Knock Down, Orange Peel, Splatter, and Acoustic Advanced Door Hanging Skills Advanced Caulking Skills: Apply precise beads with your fingers and tools on various surfaces (aluminum to brick) Basic to Intermediate Carpentry Skills: Pull carpet, stretch new carpet, replace components independently, and do basic cabinetmaking. Intermediate Power Washing Skills: Clean houses, wood surfaces, fences, and brick exteriors Basic to Intermediate Trim Work Skills: Cut angles, install finish carpentry elements Intermediate Deck and Fence Skills: Build and repair decks and fences Basic Tile Installation Skills: Replace existing 1 or 2 tiles Advanced Drywall Repair Skills Advanced Assembly Skills Advanced Fascia Installation Skills: Install gables, trim work on trim elements, and decorative fascia Two years of handyman or related experience Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues Demonstrated history of excellent attendance Basic computer skills required (familiarity with MS Office Suites) Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment Effective problem-solving skills Physical Demands with or without accommodations are not limited to: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Comfortable working in confined spaces Must be able to walk, climb, and bend frequently May require repetitive twisting and bending motions Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds Driver's Responsibilities: Operates a company vehicle safely and efficiently, following pre-assigned daily routes. Maintains an active Texas driver's license and provides updated copies to Human Resources.
