Job Description AECOM’s Urbanism + Planning team is seeking a visionary and dynamic Landscape Architecture Design Lead for our Washington DC Metro Studio. The team designs award winning, social infrastructure globally and has a long history of transformative work in the DC area, nationally, and abroad including the recent renovation of the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, The Five Points Plazas in Charlotte, NC, the multiphase waterfront in Ningbo, China and the public realm surrounding the Iconic Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge. The primary responsibilities of this new role are to lead the design of high-profile projects and assist with growing AECOM’s urbanism practice through design excellence, business development, thought leadership, project delivery, and staff mentoring. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BA/BS in Landscape Architecture + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Licensed Landscape Architect. Experience and skills in client interviews and relationship building, writing proposals and driving sales and revenue. Portfolio of work that illustrates design excellence. Experience with industry standards, regulations and emerging technologies in landscape architecture. U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. U.S. Citizenship required, due to the nature of the work. Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 12 years’ experience leading complex landscape architecture projects. Master’s degree in landscape architecture.
