The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have at least two years of experience in the Structural Engineering field. Technical experience in structural design codes is also necessary. The candidate should be capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously and meeting project schedules. Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, RAM Elements, Revit, etc., is expected. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in water industry structural design would be advantageous. Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to): Support structural engineering projects from conception to completion under the supervision of a licensed engineer. Perform advanced structural analysis and design calculations for complex structures. Develop structural drawings, specifications, and reports. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success. Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and standards. Participate in site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress. Utilize advanced structural analysis software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and solutions. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and innovative structural engineering practices. Participate in collecting and analyzing field data. Using computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Performing work by agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision. Travel to other states for fieldwork on 1 to 3-day trips, accounting for up to 20% of the overall time. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first six months Preferred Requirements Prior experience in water industry structural design is highly advantageous Experience in advanced structural analysis software such as STAAD and RAM Elements. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Experience in finite element analysis and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
