Derive robust power supply hardware architecture requirements, cascading them effectively to individual power supply components and subsystems. Ensure Functional Safety: Implement functional safety for power supply architectures, meticulously following the ISO 26262 approach and its disciplines to mitigate risks and ensure vehicle safety. A Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline. 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the design, analysis, sizing, and verification of automotive electrical systems, specifically with low voltage power supply architectures (12V and/or 48V). Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and methodologies. Proven experience in applying ISO 26262 functional safety standards in an automotive domain. Capability to effectively utilize AI tools and methods for analysis, optimization, or problem-solving. Even better, you may have... Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the aforementioned engineering fields. 5+ years of experience with complex vehicle electrical architectures and automotive power distribution systems on 12V and 48V. Familiarity with Ford engineering processes and tools, such as Ford Engineering Design Environment (FEDE), Jama, Global Product Development System (GPDS), and Jira. Experience with the advanced simulation tool MATLAB/Simulink and strong understanding of automotive communication.
