You’ll partner closely with business and technology teams to transform our on-premise data environment, build robust data engineering and transformation frameworks, and deliver high-quality, efficient, and reliable data products using Snowflake on AWS and emerging technologies. You’ll also guide solution architects, promote agile and inclusive ways of working, and champion best practices that empower teams across the organization to drive data-driven insights and innovation. What will you be doing? Strategy: Actively engage and contribute to the overall data architecture strategy with specific emphases on design, development and maintenance of the data architecture, data models and standards for various data integration & data warehousing projects in Snowflake, combined with other technologies. Architect, construct and deliver Data Transformation Frameworks/Data products for complex data solutions across multiple domains, supporting the entire software development lifecycle. Design: Architect data engineering services, and develop capabilities to enable self-service analytics and insights programs Lead, Design and develop data processing layers to incorporate data reliability, efficiency, and quality Design Data Quality and data security processes to ensure Data Completeness, Consistency and Accuracy Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure data architecture alignment with key portfolio initiatives based on cost, functionality and practicality. Recommend solutions to improve new and existing Data Warehouse and Analytics solutions. Execute & Govern: Implement technical, operational, and business processes to achieve data reliability, availability, and trust Create, publish, maintain and train data warehouse patterns across the development and architecture community in snowflake Work with cross-functional stakeholders across the various business and technical teams to develop and execute effective data quality processes and procedures. Provide policy, procedures and standards used by data analysts and database administrators which align with required standards Develop Data engineer and Operation support team (DataOps team). Communicate & Train: Create documentation & presentations that define the current state environment and future state/capabilities for variety of data. Participate in numerous communities of practice groups including development, data architecture, business intelligence and analytics, and project management Drive Data performance improvement efforts and facilitate the training of devops individuals and teams What will you need to be successful? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience. Requires mastery level knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have deep knowledge of project management. Licenses/ Certifications: Architecture certificate is preferred. Experience: You have a 10+ years rich background in data architecture and are well versed in large Data warehouse implementations. You have worked hands-on with multiple Cloud DW, Big Data, DBT, and NoSQL technologies. Deployed a fully operational data solution into production on Snowflake DW with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Monitor, AWS ecosystem or equivalent. Understand SD/SN architecture and have deep experience in Data architecture. Built modern approaches to automating data pipelines, leveraged code repositories and continuous integration tools. Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and SlowAlert. 10 total years in data architecture, analytics, design, and development. Data Management experience includes Data Governance, Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, and Metadata Management. Customer-facing experience in consulting or delivery capacity, preferably in the Medical Device or similar industry. Deliver tasks leading direct/indirect report up to 5 team members.
