JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Grid Technology is responsible for leading the strategic direction, innovation, and operations of Hydro Ottawa’s Grid Technology portfolio. This includes oversight of Smart Grid Technology strategy, Grid Operations Technology systems (SCADA, OMS, GIS, ADMS, P-Tech, Telecom), and the planning and execution of grid modernization projects. The Director, Grid Technology ensures seamless integration between grid technologies and IT systems, enables operational resilience, and drives innovation aligned with corporate priorities, regulatory requirements, and the evolving energy landscape.
The Director, Grid Technology leads a multi-disciplinary team of managers, engineers, technologists, and specialists, and collaborates closely with internal business units and external partners to deliver reliable, secure, and future-ready grid technology services.
