What you will be doing
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. You will play a key role in optimizing operations by transforming raw logistics data into actionable insights. Your analytical precision will support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Who you are
The ideal candidate will be skilled in collaborating with departments in gathering and integrating data from multiple sources, interpreting trends, and delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
Operational Performance Monitoring
· Monitor and report on KPIs such as on-time delivery, sorting accuracy, and claims. Analyze and interpret KPIs such as on-time delivery, sorting accuracy, and claims to provide actionable insights.
· Analyze internal processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and rework. Evaluate internal processes to uncover inefficiencies, sources of waste, and areas of rework. Recommend targeted improvements and collaborate with operations teams to implement process improvements.
· Conduct root cause analysis of service failures and recommend corrective actions. Investigate performance deviations, identify root causes, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
Customer Profitability Analysis
· Collaborate with Finance to review customer-level profitability by analyzing revenue and margin data. Partner with Finance to analyze customer-level profitability, uncover key drivers of margin performance, and identify opportunities cost optimization.
Data Integration & Analysis
· Extract, clean, and consolidate data from multiple systems and databases to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
· Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to investment strategies and business operations.
· Conduct scenario modeling and impact analysis for proposed operational changes.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives with data-driven insights.
Reporting & Communication
· Collaborate with Operations to develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense, or Excel.
· Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
· Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Strategic Support & Forecasting
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives with data-driven insights. Predict future transportation needs based on historical data, seasonality, and external factors (e.g., weather, holidays).
· Conduct scenario modeling and impact analysis for proposed operational changes.
· Monitor trends and emerging risks to proactively inform business strategy. Develop and deploy predictive models to forecast potential disruptions (e.g., fuel price volatility, regulatory changes, supply chain bottlenecks)
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
· Support Quality to identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and analysis processes.
· Stay current on industry best practices in data analytics and operational performance.
· Champion a data-driven culture across the organization.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in a data analysis or operations-focused role.
· Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Qlik Sense).
· Advanced Excel skills.
· Experience with Lean Six Sigma – asset
Preferred Attributes
· Experience in logistics, supply chain, or service operations.
· Familiarity with customer profitability modeling and cost-to-serve analysis.
· Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
