Westside Montessori Early Learning Centre (WMA ELC) is a newly established licensed group care program in East Vancouver for children aged 30 months to 5 years. Rooted in Montessori principles and aligned with the BC Early Learning Framework, we are committed to fostering a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive environment where children thrive—and where educators feel supported and valued.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) to join our founding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a Montessori-inspired environment, working alongside experienced educators in a purpose-built setting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid ECEA Certificate and BC License to Practice
• Current First Aid & CPR-C certification
• Clear Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening)
• Minimum 25 hours/week availability starting August 2025
• Previous experience in a Montessori setting is an asset (training can be provided)

• Support the lead educators with daily routines and classroom management
• Assist in preparing and maintaining a calm, organized, and engaging learning environment
• Supervise and guide children during play, activities, transitions, and meals
• Observe and document children’s progress under the direction of the ECE
• Help foster a safe and positive space for all children to explore and grow
