Middleton Sports Club is a private members clubs established almost 80 years ago. Sports include, cricket, tennis, bowls, hockey, squash, stoolball and has a gym onsite with hi tech equpment. In addtion, we have a lovely social bar and we cater for any events in our restaurant with connecting marquee. In order to continually attract members of all ages we have restructured and have identified the need for a Cook to run our kitchen to enable us to bring the catering in house and supply our members with breakfast, bar menu, snacks etc, this an ideal role as the completely new for the club but we know our members have an ‘appetite’ for it.
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic and experienced to drive the caterinig funtion. Working closely with our amazing team which inclde the club manager and bar staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cateing at any levels. As the cook/chef you will have autonony to run the kitchen and select a menu that suits the enviornoment and customers..We have a fully modern furnshed restaurant that we use for events and have held various themed / taster menu evenings.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Health and hygiene qualification- essential
• Experience of running a kitchen - essential.
• Proven experience and/or training in health and safety procedures and management - an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of food/hygiene laws and best practices.
