Your Role Gensler is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Communications Coordinator in the DC office. This individual will support the team in promoting our projects, people, and expertise through a variety of channels: press outreach, speaking engagements, awards, social media, internal communications, and special projects. What You Will Do Public Relations: Assist in developing public relations and communications collateral including press releases, talking points, media lists, etc. Support the regional communications lead in tracking and reporting external impact though media and industry partners Vet and manage inbound media requests Support the regional communications lead in developing targeted PR plans for projects and practice areas Content Creation: Work with office leadership on development of blog posts and bylines Support office leadership on internal communications including copy and graphic design support for presentations and internal announcements Develop case studies for key projects Support office events for media, clients, and partners Assist with photo shoots Social media support including content development and community management Prepare and submit awards content on behalf of our projects and people Ability to proactively support multiple submission deadlines at once Speaking Engagements Support team on speaker submissions, presentation content development, talking points, and event coordination as needed Maintain annual conference calendar and track related deadlines for the team Your Qualifications 2+ years of PR agency experience, preferably in the commercial real estate industry Strong writing, editing, grammar and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and basic graphic design skills (Adobe Express) required.
