Physical stamina requisite to standing, walking, stooping, pulling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting while transporting patients and in the examination room. Visual, auditory and speech acuity requisite to verbal and written communication with patients, families, physicians and other persons involved with the patient's care. Working Conditions: Work involves working with patients in all degrees of chronic and acute illness, and in dealing with their families. Work is intermittently light (exerting/lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly) to heavy (exerting/lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly) and is performed in a variety of settings within the hospital in a climate controlled environment. Work involves possible exposure to radiation. Personal safety requires adherence to protective radiation safety techniques. Work may be repetitious.
