Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive financial analyses, prepare accurate reports, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency. You will also play a critical role in financial operations such as month-end processes, budgeting, and fixed asset management.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure accurate month-end financial reporting.
  • Analyze monthly financial reports, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain and oversee fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules and project cost tracking reports.
  • Support budgeting processes by providing accurate forecasts for depreciation and other financial elements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and offer actionable insights.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and standardizing financial procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation and integration of financial systems and processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for special projects as required.
  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, fixed asset management, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proficiency in financial tools and software, with experience in journal entries and reconciliations.
