Your Role at ZEISS Digital Innovation
In your role in Business Development Management, you have a significant influence on shaping the future of ZEISS Digital Innovation. Your responsibility is to ensure the continuous development and successful implementation of our software service portfolio. Our focus is particularly on discrete value creation in the semiconductor, electronics, and automotive industries, as well as in process manufacturing.

Your tasks include two fields of activity:

  • Strategic portfolio development for customized software solutions
  • Independent analysis and needs assessment of various industries regarding software applications and market trends
  • Self-reliant development and testing of suitable go-to-market strategies
  • Strategy development for needs-oriented approach aimed at acquiring specific target customers (in close collaboration with our Sales & Marketing team)
  • Supporting the development of necessary competencies within ZEISS Digital Innovation (e.g., programming languages, software tools, specific expertise in the field of manufacturing)
  • Operational tasks
  • Independent design and management of presales projects
  • Early conversations and consultations with our customers regarding their digitalization projects
  • Creation of high-quality content (e.g., position papers, white papers, presentations)

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in digitalization projects in manufacturing, as well as in the topics of Industry 4.0 / IIoT, factory and process planning, special machine construction, supply chain management, and quality management
  • Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of digitalization strategies as well as economic assessment regarding digital applications / software solutions in manufacturing
  • Extensive experience in business and strategy consulting is desirable
  • A good network in the industry is an advantage
  • Very good, practical experience in lean management and value stream design, as well as with the ISA-95 standard
  • Practical experience in the design, planning, and implementation of comprehensive software applications
  • Excellent language skills (spoken and written) as well as communication / presentation skills on C1 or C2 level in both German and English
