We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing team in Galway.
Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) standards across multiple active sites.
Administer and update safety records and documentation using the digital platform (e.g., Hammertech).
Conduct site safety walks, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions, and provide practical safety advice to site personnel and subcontractors.
Prepare, review, and manage H&S documentation including RAMS, incident procedures, and emergency plans.
Monitor training certifications and ensure all machinery, tools, and equipment are compliant and fit for use.
Investigate accidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
Work collaboratively with site managers and foremen to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety position, ideally within the construction sector.
Degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or similar discipline.
Thorough knowledge of Irish H&S regulations and construction safety standards.
Demonstrated success in improving site safety performance and culture.
Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to influence others.
Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using digital safety management systems.
Full, clean Irish driving licence is essential.
